Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! We had our annual BBQ with the Dads today and as usual, enjoyed great food with great people. (Missed you Jon, Liz & Charlotte!) It was really warm outside, but we managed to escape out into the yard for a short (very short) game of football with Carl & Camryn.

Our little stud! :)

And then later while Craig went to play ice hockey (in June), Cam and I chilled out by the pool. We were so tired by the time we got home.

Gymbus celebration

The end of the gymbus year wrapped up this weekend with an opportunity to show off their new skills to family. It was so cute.

When we arrived a couple of her pals from school were there. I was a bit worried about her not wanting to perform in front of a crowd. Yeah, don't think that will be a problem. She was the kid that was always hunting in the crowd to point to us or wave to us. But once they got going she was focused on her tasks.

Yay, Camryn! They got a trophy after they showed off all they learned at the different stations.

Here she is showing off her flower and her trophy.

And the proud parents. ;)

Come back later for a video. I just need to sort through it and edit.

"My name is not Hey!"

OK, so I gave away the punch line in the title. Thought I'd share a quick moment between Cam and Craig yesterday. I was working in our home office, Cam was playing with her play-do in the living room and Craig was adding up football camp money in the kitchen.

Cam sneezed and as usual immediately asks for a kleenex. Craig ignored her since he was trying to keep a dollar figure calculating in his head. I just kept working. So she asked again, and I heard Craig say "I'm in the middle of something, you can get one yourself Camryn."

Not 30 seconds later she yelled "I need a kleenex!" And Craig must have turned around and said to her "Hey, I'm in the middle of something." And her response was a loud "Well, my name is not Hey!"

My account of it doesn't do it justice, but I about hit the floor laughing. This was a comeback we said as kids and she just used it! I have to give her props for that. I walked into the kitchen and Craig just looked at me and said..."that little punk."
